Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA)

This assessment identifies the amount and distribution of housing and employment land available across the district, it doesn’t allocate sites for development any site included would still need to follow the standard development management process through a planning application.

The primary role of the SHLAA is to:

  • identify sites with potential for housing
  • assess their housing potential
  • assess when they are likely to be developed

The documents below provide updated Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) information to coincide with our updated February 2014 consultation document.
